《 Ocean Life》—— John Li (2017)

This is a breathtaking piece of jewellery that encapsulates the enchanting beauty of the ocean life: a mesmerising opal, the centerpiece of this masterpiece, symbolising the vast and mysterious depths of the sea. Set in an intricate arrangement of radiant 18k yellow gold and white gold, the opal mirrors the ever-changing hues of the ocean, from the deepest blues to the most ethereal greens.

Surrounding this precious opal are diamonds and pearls that are set in 18k white gold to create the ocean’s wave, and intricately crafted dolphins, gracefully captured in 18k rose gold. Their forms seem to dance around the opal, embodying the playful spirit of these intelligent creatures as they gracefully navigate the ocean waves. Each dolphin is meticulously detailed, capturing the elegance and fluidity of their movements.

Adding a touch of vibrant life to this aquatic scene, delicate coral formations adorn the edges of the piece. These coral accents not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also serve as a protective embrace, symbolising the delicate balance and interconnectedness of the ocean ecosystem.

As light plays upon the opal's surface, it radiates a captivating display of colors, reminiscent of sunlight filtering through the water's surface. This exquisite piece is not merely jewellery; it's a wearable work of art that celebrates the wonders of the ocean, inviting the wearer to carry a piece of the sea's magic wherever they go.
